I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf coast, and Barq's was always my favorite drink. There's just nothing like a roast-beef po-boy with fries and a Barq's Root Beer!
The wide variety of vintage Barq's items is fascinating. Since Coca-Cola had a standard design for the Coke bottle, the bottles looked the same everywhere, but Barq's did not do this, and with hundreds of franchises back in the day, there are several hundred different bottles alone!
Even after 30+ years of collecting, I still often see new stuff that I have never seen before!
